These developments unleashed a ripple affect that will negatively impact most economies and telecom spending around the world over the next 12 months. This IDC Telebriefing will provide a comprehensive view of the impact the financial crisis will have on telecom services spending around the world. In response to the downturn, IDC implemented a comprehensive review of global telecom spending. In the fall of 2008, IDC surveyed consumers and enterprises around the world and analyzed public industry financial data. The goal of this IDC Telebriefing is to provide service providers, equipment vendors, and end-users with insight into how the telecom sector will change during 2009 and beyond.
